Over the past four years South Hill Banks has gained popularity up and down the east coast with their unique style that blends elements of traditional bluegrass with contemporary lyricism and spontaneous improvisation. They have garnered an enthusiastic following in the local music scene, playing major festivals such as Dominion River Rock and FloydFest, as well as hosting their own festival at The Broadberry, the South Hill Snowdown.

Lance’s solo act consists of original material that he has written over the last decade, as well as choice covers over a wide variety of genres. Artists that Lance gains inspiration from and typically incorporates into his set include Radiohead, Wilco, and Jerry Garcia.
